Bahahaha

My little sister may kill me for posting this on my blog.  And also on Facebook.  And maybe I posted it on Youtube as well.  But it's too funny not to share, I just couldn't help myself!

Enjoy.

Laugh it Up

I saw this and it had me cracking up.  Isn't it so true?

Just thought I'd share.

Let's eat grandpa . . . wait what?

I found these images today on Pinterest and I really liked them so I thought I'd share.

I really want to do this idea! You take newspapers from the day of the big events in your life and modge podge them on a frame.  Genius!

Ah, if only . . .

Um, yeah I have that same problem.

I totally want to do this when I'm old.  Converse and all!

Gimme back that filet o fish . . . Give me that fish. Aww!

Ok, so when the McDonalds Filet O' Fish commercial came out, I might have been the annoying person who sang it all the time.  And had it as a ringtone.  And had my very own Frankie the Fish plaque that could be hung on a wall.  I don't know why, but I really liked it.  It's kinda catchy.

I hope you watched that, and I hope you are singing it for the rest of the night.

But that's not even why I'm writing this post.  I made the best fish tacos tonight.  If I do say so myself.  It was super simple too.

The ingredients are:
1.  A tomato, diced.
2. Corn tortillas
3. Cabbage (I used a bag of coleslaw mix because it's so much easier and you don't have to shred it yourself)
4. Limes
5. Fish (I just used what was on sale at the store.  I used a breaded fish, but if you want to be all healthy you can use salmon or something unbreaded.  You can use a filet or fish sticks.)

Cook the fish.  Microwave the corn tortillas so they are warm, and then put the fish in the tortilla (I used two tortillas because I saw a place do that once so I thought it was the official way to make a fish taco).  Then add the cabbage and tomatoes.  Squeeze the lime juice over it and ta da! You have a fish taco.  I added a little ranch, but when I was eating it realized that it didn't need it at all because the flavor from the lime was pretty good.  It's really pretty low calories and it's really good :)

Oops.

Are you sick of posts today?  I'm at work and really bored, hence 3 posts in the last hour.  This is pretty funny though.  I love it when professional people mess up :)

run away . . .

Yesterday my little sister, who is 6 came, into my room with some serious news.  She looked very somber as she said, "Don't laugh, but on Saturday I'm running away."  Of course, I couldn't help but laugh at this point, because it was so dang cute! But I tried really hard and held it in.  My brother asked what episode of "The Brady Bunch" she had just watched because there is an episode where Cindy runs away.  We asked where she was going to go and she told she was going to live with the neighbors.  I told her we would really miss her and she gave me a big "good bye" hug. I asked her why she was going to live with the neighbors and she said, "They have fruit loops."

That's a pretty valid reason if you ask me.

Abominable "O Holy Night"

My sister showed this to me and I couldn't help but bust up laughing. Some people try so hard haha.  You need to listen to the whole thing because it only gets better as it goes on.

Merry Christmas!

AHHH! It's Monday.

It's Monday! The worst day of the week.  I remember watching this Garfield cartoon when I was little and he was trying to escape Monday because he didn't like Mondays.  He was trying to get to a different country with a different time zone so he could skip Monday all together.  All this bad stuff happens to him on the way to the country and by the time he gets there, it's just barely Monday there so he has to go through two Mondays.   That is just a bad day right there.

But, on a much happier note, I am 1/2 way done with my finals. YAY!  I have my two hardest ones out of the way: Math and Children's literature.  I just have my project for my Technology in Education class and my test in Exceptional Students.

And on an EVEN happier note: Briar comes home in 2 days. 2! That's it! I can't wait to see her!

So I saw this on someones blog and busted up laughing because it's pretty much hilarious.  If you haven't seen Inception you won't really get what it's talking about.  And also, if you haven't seen Inception you really should go see it because it is AMAZING! Capital amazing. That's pretty amazing.

Isn't that just great?

Santa drives my bus.

I sneakily took this picture of the bus driver today.  He looks like Santa! I wanted to pull a buddy the elf and yell "SANTA!!!"

like this:

But don't worry. I refrained.

Sands Family Quote of the Day

Ok, it was said yesterday, but still. I should start something where I just put down quotes my family says, because we're pretty freakin funny. Maybe we're only funny to ourselves. Hmmmm. That's probably the case.

So here's the quote:

We're sitting in the foyer at church and we hear the doors opening from the outside. We had probably been doing something weird or something like that:

Sam: "Everyone act normal."
Ashley"Pretend you're dead!"

Hahahahahahah, i'm laughing just reading this. But you do kinda have to know our family to think this is funny. Everytime Aubrey comes into the room, we'll all act like we're dead. Ok, not everytime, but sometimes, and she'll do it to, so it's just a funny family thing.

Ah, my family. They're the best.

Lame

So the hard drive on my computer crashed. How lame is that? If you said, "Very lame," then you would be right. I've had it for less then 3 months. But luckily, I'm pretty sure I won't have to pay for anything because it's so new and still under warranty. Which is nice :)

But I do have a funny story.

So back in May I moved back in with my family. A little after I moved in, my TV that I had gotten for the previous Christmas started having problems. The power would just turn off. There was no rhyme or reason to it, it would just randomly turn off. It would usually come back on, but sometimes it was a few minutes. Other times it was a few hours. I would check the power cord, plug it into different outlets, just about everything to see if I could get it working. I even contemplated going out and buying a new power cord, because I was 93% sure that was the problem. So this problem of my TV randomly deciding that it's going to turn off went on for about 7 months.

It hadn't happened in awhile, probably a couple months, but on Sunday it went off again. I went over to the power cord and started messing with it. I thought maybe it had a short and tried moving the cord around. My mom poked her head in to see what I was doing. She looked at my sister who was sitting on my bed and they started laughing. I thought they were just laughing at me because I was sitting behind my door messing with it.

(Now, it's important to know that right now most of my expensive, technological belongings are broken. My car. My computer. So the fact that my TV is wigging out again is just too much to bear.)

So then my mom comes into my room and she's laughing and she has this little black controller and she say's "watch" and clicks it and my TV turns on. She clicks it again. The TV turns off.

THEY HAD A FREAKIN REMOTE TO CONTROL MY TV!!

Apparently when I had moved in my dad thought it would be funny to hook up a power adapter thing to my TV cords and they had randomly been turning it off and on. They had seen my freaking out because it wasn't working and all the while they had been controlling it with a remote!! And the kicker: My whole family knew!! They had all been playing this prank on me!

This is what they had hooked up to my TV. How I didn't notice even after messing with it, I don't know. I seriously thought it was just a cord to my TV.

Victory is theirs.

I have to hand it to them. That was a good one.

But if anyone knows of a really good prank to play, I'm all ears . . .

(Project 365 has been updated. I'm not a slacker. Being without a computer is really throwing off my groove.)

Love Letters

So yesterday, I'm at work minding my own business, sitting at the desk just doing my thing. When I'm really bored at the library I people watch, and I notice this guy get off the elevator and he looks over at me. I didn't want to be all creeper staring person so I looked away. Then I looked back and he was still looking at me. So I look somewhere else and he comes up to the desk. I look up and he and says "Are you Sam?" I admit that yes, in fact, I am Sam and he says "This is for you" and hands me a piece of paper that's folded up.

I take the piece of paper and think, "This is random" and the other two guys I'm working with start teasing me that I got a love letter. Well, as you all know from an earlier post, my face has a tendancy to go red. So of course, it goes red, proving the case of love letter or something along those lines. I walk to the back and read the letter. Written in the pretty much best cursive handwriting I've ever seen, it said:

Sexy Sam
I can't stop thinking about you ever since (he actually wrote "sence" but I'm editing) that magic night down by the river. Today I waved at you and you smiled back at me and my whole world just felt like perfection. Sam you are the wind beneath my wings. You are the Bella Cullen to my Jacob Black. I can't help but smile when I see your big beautiful brown eyes looking at me from across the reference desk. If only I could be your Jim and you could be my Pam. Have a good night and I'll be seeing you around.

P.S. Meet me at the bell tower.

(Disclaimer: I was reading the letter from a really small picture so actuall wording may be different)

Who could not just love this secret admirer? He made Office references.

But I knew who my secret lover was. I recognized the boy a friend of my friend Ashley. Apparently they had collaborated to come up with this love note. I have to admit, it was pretty funny. Definitely made my night.

Here is a very bad picture of the letter. Check out the super perfect handwriting!

It's not funny when....

Ok, so I'm at work and I get a text from my mom's phone that says "I see you" so I think my mom is trying to be funny and I say"Huh" and someone on my mom's phone says, "i'm outside your apartment, don't even try looking. you won't be able to see them. i'm holding them hostage." so i have to admit i was a little freaked out because why would my mom randomly play a joke on me that they were kidnapped. but then i think who the heck would want to hold my family hostage. so i text back, "who is this" and they say "i'm rafael. don't call the cops for i have snipers at the ready." so at this point i'm pretty freaked out thinking someone has kidnapped my family and is going to kill me. so i'm racking my brain trying to think if my family has some fued with someone named rafael, and text back "are you playing a joke on me? cuz this isn't funny." then i get a phone call from my mom's phone but i can't answer because i'm on a call at work. so then i get another text saying that it's my brother. i had a voicemail and i listened to it. It's my brother and he says, "this is rafael, listen to your mother scream." and then in the background my mom goes, "ahhhhhhh" and then my brother does an evil laugh and hangs up. despite the fact that i seriously thought my family was abducted, i have to admit it was pretty funny. ah, my family.
