Fill in The Blank

1.   My current obsession is    stripes.  I looked through my closet the other day and a lot of my clothing is stripes. I can't help that it's such a great print

2.    Sleeping in     makes me happy.

3.  My greatest strength is  that I usually give people the benefit of the doubt   .

4.    Wasting time   is my greatest weakness.

5.  My life is    pretty dang good.  I'm in the middle of school and feel like I'm headed somewhere I want to be.  And I'm happy.

6.  In high school I was     not popular but not a loser.  I was on yearbook.  So I guess I was one of those people   .

7.  When I'm super tired    I get really quiet and don't like to talk.  My mind also turns to mush and I can't think straight .

This Week

Top to Bottom, Left to Right:

  • Me.  I was bored.  When I'm bored I take pictures of random things including myself.  Also, I liked my shirt.
  • Apples at my parents house.  Don't apples remind you of fall?
  • My outfit for church.  I liked my belt.
  • Mascot Bowl!
  • I had a craving for cinnamon rolls.  I need to learn how to make them from scratch because the can ones don't cut it.  But it was still yummy.
  • My Jar-o-mints.
  • Fall is here! Today I went on a run with my camera (which was really annoying to run with) but the colors were beautiful.  I can't wait until all the trees have changed.  Ah, I love fall.

In Weezer News

The Weezer cruise is in January and I want to go sooooooo bad! It would be amazing! I found out today that they are performing the ENTIRE Blue Album for their concert.  That is the best album ever!  They are sending wrist bands and tattoos to fans to hand out to spread the word about the concert, and I'm really tempted to ask them to send me some.  I think I might . . .  Ok, I'm going to.

Coming Soon to a Theater Near You

I can't wait until 2012 because there are some pretty awesome movies coming out. There are two that I am really excited about.  Really excited.  So excited.  Ok, you can tell I'm excited.

First, The Great Gatsby. Ahhhh! Leonardo Decaprio will be playing Jay Gatsby (perfect) and Carey Mulligan will be playing Daisy Buchanan (also perfect.)

On a semi-related note, I want this shirt.

And then . . . the most exciting movie . . .

The Hunger Games!  I am so excited to see what they do for this movie.  They better do a good job because I have this movie imagined perfectly in my head.  If not, we can put all the producers in a Hunger Games.
JUST KIDDING!  That's not nice.  But we can send them a strongly worded letter.

Is the four note tune at the end Rue's song? Speculations? Guesses? Anyone know for sure?

Current Read

I have a new book!  Well, technically it's for a class, but it's one that's been on my list so the fact that I get to read it for school is pretty sweet.  I never finished "Flipped" because school started and text books are my reading material lately (not by choice), but I will one day.

My new current read is "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison.

Mascot Bowl

Every year my high school holds a Mascot bowl where they invite mascots from all over to play against a couple junior Lehi football teams.  My sister, Ashley, danced in it this year so my family went to watch her.  They had face painting and you could get autographs from the mascots.  The mascots did not play fair and it was hilarious.  The thing on Aubrey's cheek is supposed to be a butterfly, but can you tell it is?  Because I can't.

Define slight

Last weekend, my sisters and I went to Old Navy and were browsing through the clearance section.  I was going to get a shirt and saw the same shirt on the clearance rack so I figured I'd buy that one instead.  I looked at the tag and it was more than 50% off with the reason of "slight hole".  This is what the shirt looked like:

What exactly do they think slight means?

Fill in the Blank because it's Friday!

1.   The best thing I did all week was     get caught up on all my homework and reading until next Tuesday.  It feels good to be ahead even if it's only for a minute.

2.    Getting new books      makes me super happy.

3.  Pets are   fun to have, but i'm not a fan of cleaning up their poo   .

4.    My family    is the best thing about my life.

5.  With the cooler weather I am looking forward to    cardigans, sweaters, halloween, my birthday, no more sweating because it's a million degrees outside, and the leaves changing color .

6.  Something that's on my "wish list" right now is    a new pair of shoes.  Two kinds. Running and regular.  Like a pair of black chucks.  Oh and a pair of church shoes.  So three kinds.  I hate buying shoes though.  Weird?  A little, I guess  .

7.  This weekend I am going to   work. That is the extent of my weekend plans at the moment .

A Very Merry Unbirthday. Sort of . . .

Today is my sister's birthday.  She is turning 20, but she's in Virginia so we can't celebrate with her.

My mom decided to throw a party here at home and take a picture to send to her in Virginia.  So we bought cards . . .

(The card to the right says "Party your butt off" he he he)

And a cake . . .

And took a picture of us partyin' it up . . .

We set the self timer, and this is about the 5th picture.  Apparently we were partied out because we don't look that excited.

Happy Birthday Briar!

The Little Things

It's the little things in life that keep me sane when I'm about to go crazy.

Like listening to my brother play the guitar.  And his accents.  I can't help but laugh every time I'm around him.

This face.

The fact that fall is pretty much here.  And the most amazing sunset yesterday.

The fact that I was productive today.  It always feels good to be productive.  I even cleaned my food and dish cupboard. (Insert round of applause here)  And of course I took pictures because I'm lame like that.

Getting flowers.

Running.  Great stress reliever. (No picture because no one wants to see that)

I love the little things.

And onto the next week . . .

This week was, in one word, busy.  Work, School, Homework, Repeat.  This weekend we celebrated my little sister's 16th birthday.  Which is weird for two reason.  A) She can date.  B) She can drive.   The original plan was to go up to Salt Lake and get dinner and walk around Temple Square and the Gateway, but the weather decided to be rainy that day, so plan B was The Pie (sooooo delicious) and they went Classic Skating while my mom, my dad, Jason, and I walked around Target and Barnes and Noble (two of my favorite stores).

Saturday included going to an awesome used bookstore and getting some books that I am super excited about, chilling with my sisters, going to Target (again) and watching the BYU vs. U of U game where I am happy to say that BYU got slaughtered.  Seriously.  It was sad.  I almost felt bad for them at the end.  Almost.

Sunday consisted of finally getting my room clean, church, fireside, and making lasagna from scratch.  And it was freakin amazingly delicious if I do say so myself.  And as a plus, I have lunch for the rest of this week from the leftovers.

This week is looking just as busy as last.  A test and presentation (only 7 minutes though) on top of my already enormous stack of reading.  But I have some goals for this week:

a) organize my dishes and food cupboard
b) work out at least 3 times this week
c) paint my toenails (seems a mediocre goal, but if you saw my chipped toes you would not only understand, but agree)
d) eat healthy
e) go to institute.  and read my scriptures daily.  no more slacking.
f) get caught up on my school reading for the week.

So yeah.  Bring on the week.

Fill in the Blank Friday!

1.   You should always take time to    spend time with the ones you love.  I have a tendency to let school get in the way and don't hang out with my friends as often as I should. But my friends rock.

2.    A babies laugh     make(s) the world a happier place to be.

3.  I can hardly wait for   November because my grandma and uncle are coming down for Thanksgiving. AHHHHHH!  So excited!

4.    Friday    is my favorite day of the week.

5.  Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is    The filet o fish song from McDonalds. It's very catchy.

6.  If I could, I would   go on the Weezer cruise in January   .

7.  I rather like    the smell of clean clothes  .

This Week

Top to Bottom, Left to Right:

  • Rascal Flatts/Sara Evans concert with Ashley and Kiley.
  • Laying in bed.  Honestly, I forgot to take a picture that day and this was a last minute "Crap."
  • September 11th.  The best colors in the world.
  • Aubrey's eyes.  I would kill for those eye lashes.  How did she cute the adorableness AND the good eyelashes?
  • Doing homework.  This is my life lately.
  • Putting together a presentation with construction paper.  The perks of going into elementary education.
  • My new razor.  You know it was an uneventful day when you take a picture of your razor.  But look how cute it is!

This Summer

This Summer I . . .

went to some amazing concerts. (U2, The Fray, Arctic Monkeys, Vaccines, The Weepies, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts)

Read A LOT of books.  13 to be exact.  Over 4000 pages.  I counted one time, but then I lost the number and was too lazy to recount.

Went to Ephraim to visit Kiley.

Had my computer crash. Again.  Grrrrrrr.

Moved. Twice.

Yeah.  That was pretty much my summer.

I love my Siblings

I have the best siblings in the world.

Briar and Melissa weren't home, so I couldn't get pictures of them, but they better watch out when they are because my camera will be in their face. Dun dun dun . . .
