Fill in the Blank

1.   I am currently obsessed with  finding a cute pair of boots.  I have been looking online and at every store I go to, but because it's spring nobody really has boots out anymore.  But I keep looking

2.  Today I am  tired  because,   I had to wake up early and got to bed late and it's been a long week.  Thank goodness for weekends.

3.  The age I am is    23     and the age I feel is    I don't really know acutally. Probably younger because I'm still in school and riding the bus to school because my car is broken.  Oh yeah and I live with my family at the moment. So yeah definitely not 23.

4.  My favorite place is     the beach.  I wish I could live there and spend all my time there.  But my favorite is Montano de Oro in California.  I don't know why I love that beach so much but I

5.  Something I have been procrastinating is     cleaning my room.  That poor thing has been neglected pretty much since this semester started in January.  Maybe this weekend? . . .

6.  The last thing I purchased was        a Naked and a granola bar.  Yum.

7.  The thing I love most about my home is       It's my place to let my guard down.  If I want to walk around with my hair on top of my head and in my sweats I can.  I can be silly, weird, funny, onery, anything.  It's where I feel safe.

Project 365 / Current Read Update

The sky was beautiful today.  I love the sky.  It is one of my favorite things about the earth.  Seriously, everytime you look at it, you just have to stop and stare.  It's beautiful.  Never the same day after day.  This was today's 365.

I really need to start carrying around my camera, because my 3.0 M phone camera doesn't cut it for some things.  Also, if anyone wants to buy me a really nice Digital SLR, I would love you forever :)

I started a new current read.  I finished The Great Gatsby a couple weeks ago, and I have to say, it really is a good book.  If you haven't read it, don't read these next few sentences, but it's interesting that both Tom and Daisy were having an affair and both the people they were having an affair with die, so they're left together.  Kinda an interesting twist, Mr. Fitzgerald.

My new current read is "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck.  I'm only on the second chapter and already I'm in love with his use of language.

I Want These So Bad!!

I want a pair of boots.

Really bad.

Not even these exact ones, just some like these.

The chestnut color ones.

And I've been looking everywhere and can't find them.  And anywhere online seems to not have my size or that color.  Fate is not on my side in getting these boots.  Maybe it's trying to tell me that I don't really need the boots.  That I should save my money and not buy boots.  BUT THEY'RE SO CUTE!

So if anyones knows a place that sells cute boots that are chestnut brown color and really cheap because I am poor, please pass the information along because I really really want a pair :)

Epictasticness

My weekend.  In Pictures.

Me and Amberly decided to have an "epic" weekend.  So we went to lunch, and then went to the mall because we wanted to make a music video in this music video thing, but alas, it was broken.  So instead I bought a new smell (that I am in love with).  We then went to The Chocolate because Amberly had never been there.

It rained a lot this weekend.

Ok, Superman on Converse?  This has got to be the coolest shoe ever.  Two of my favorite things.

My new favorite smell.

And that is pretty much my weekend in a nutshell.

Fill in the Blank

1.   I am  Sam.  Daughter of God,  bookworm, lover of pictures, oldest of 8, student, learner, artist, girl. Sam.

2.  The bravest thing I've ever done was jump out of a freakin plane.

3.  I feel prettiest when I am doing good.

4.  Something that keeps me awake at night is   thoughts.  Whether of that day, or what I have to do the next day, or cute boys, or something that happened.  I usually have to fall asleep to The Office or Seinfeld so my thoughts wind down.

5.  My favorite meal in the entire world is  chili cheese fries.  So bad for you, but so delicious.

6.  The way to my heart is  showing you care.

7.  I would like to  get an R.V.  and when I'm old me and hubby will travel all 50 states.  Drive through all of them.  And I'll take pictures of everything we see.  We're even gonna have one of those giant sticker states things that's a map of the U.S. and you put in the stickers for which states you visit.  Yes, that will be us.

You say you want a revolution ...

A Brush with Greatness

One of my teachers this semester will always ask us if we've had a brush with greatness.  That's where you've had the opportunity to meet someone great, whether a personal hero, politician, superstar, whoever.  Just someone great.  Well today I got that opportunity.  Patch Adams came to my school and spoke, and afterwords I was able to go up and meet him.  It was pretty cool.  I loved the movie, and cry every time I watch it, because it really is such an inspiring story.  If you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it.
He talked a lot about happiness and that we need to decided now to be happy.  We need to notice that we're alive, be glad we were born, and not waste a moment insulting it.  One of my favorite things he said today was,

"The most revolutionary act
a person can commit
is to be happy."

(This is when I was waiting in line to meet him.  The people before me got pictures with him but he stopped that because there was a huge line. Sad day. Check out his insane outfit!  He said he wears stuff like that because he tries to look in such a way that the person standing next to him can't help but start the conversation.)

Also, on a totally unrelated note to Patch Adams, well, maybe it is related because it has to do with medical stuff, and he is a doctor.  Anyways, I work at the library at my school. Yes, I'm a librarian, sorta, technically just a library aide. But that's not the point of this story. So anyways, I'm at the desk and this guy comes up and says a guy is sleeping and making funny noises and that we should probably check on him. One of my co-workers goes over, and then a minute or so later comes back and gets my supervisor because he's not responding. So my sup goes over there and as he's walking tell's me to call campus police. So I get them on the phone and end up going over to where the guy is and he's sitting in his chair and his head is all the way back and he's turing purple.  You can tell he's not getting a lot of air and his pulse is really weak.  I tell all this to the cops, and they're already sending someone over (which took them forever and a day). I'm holding the guys head up to try and open his airway so he can at least get some air, because really that's all I can think to do, (It's amazing how all the C.P.R/health training/what to do information just flees when you need it.)  Finally the police get there and we get the guy on the ground and they have to do rescue breathing and are rubbing his chest to try and get circulation.  They eventually got him on a gurney and wheeled him out.  I felt bad for him because everyone was staring at him, and he was trying to hide his face.  But I guess what happened, at least the rumor of what someone overheard the cops saying was that he had taken codine and alcohol together. Scary stuff.

So yeah, that was my exciting event of the day.

Also, I just ordered some new books online.  I'm pretty excited.  Got some Steinbeck to add to my collection, East of Eden, Of Mice and Men, and The Grapes of Wrath.  I've read the first two, but want to reread them.  I also got Lord of the Flies, and The Kite Runner.  I'm hoping I have some time to read soon, I still need to finish my current read :)

100 Days of My Life

First off, Happy Valentines Day.  I hope everyone has a lover and gets lots of chocolate and flowers, and if not that's okay because neither do I :)

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   The TV show/website that I watch/read that I would be embarrassed to tell anyone about is  honestly I don't really have one that I'm ashamed to admit I watch.  I don't watch a whole lot of stuff on T.V. I usually wait until it comes out on DVD and buy it if I want to watch it.

2.  An item of clothing that is worn and torn but that I love far to much to throw away is  an old pajama shirt that used to be my moms.  It is the freakin bomb.  It has a bunch of different barbies on it from different years, like there's one from 1964, and another from 1970 something.  It is so old and raggedy and it has a huge, and I mean HUGE whole in the side so you can pretty much see everything, but I still wear it to bed.

3.  My grocery store impulse buy is  chocolate.  Always chocolate.  Or clothing.  I am a sucker for Target, and if I go in there I usually come out with something that I didn't intend to buy.  But it's usually cute :)

4.  Something I do at work to pass time that I wouldn't want my co-workers to know about is I blog :) That's usually when I get most of my blogging done is at work.

5.  One thing in my life that I could give up, but never will is  chocolate.  Well, I don't know about could give up.  But I probably should because I eat it too much.  But I never, ever will.

6.  A little indulgence that I have is    eating late at night.  I love eating late at night.  The bad thing is who craves apples or broccoli or anything healthy after ten p.m.? no one.  So it's usually food that's bad for me, but grease tasts so much better after ten p.m.

7.  The junk drawer/area in my house is  lol, right now it's my whole bedroom.  I have been so busy that my poor room has been so neglected.  Seriously, I haven't made my bed in probably two weeks, at least.  And you can only see patches of my floor, which is actually pretty good.

Ice Ice Baby

So, I don't really know what happened, but I guess one of the sprinklers in our backyard broke, so last night our backyard was turned into an a frozen ice land.  Literally.  It was so cold that the water would almost instantly turn to ice and it's covering almost all of the backyard.

I guess none of the water stayed directly around the sprinkler head so this is the design that was made. So cool!

This is what the ground was covered with, little balls of ice, like it froze in water drops.

Doesn't this just make you cold? Brrrr

Speaking Words of Wisdom . . .

Do not look at this post if you are on a diet.

I am almost to day 100 in my Project 365.  It's kinda crazy to thing that I've been taking picture's everyday, for one hundred days.  I need to be better about taking them on my camera as opposed to on my phone, but the phone is oh so convenient.

But don't those donuts look delicious?  I am proud to say that I resisted the temptation to eat any (But I really, really want one.)

Today's 365. To ch-ch-ch-check it out CLICK HERE

Decide

Debating

So for the past little bit I have been trying to grow my hair out.  The only thing is I am getting sick of it.  Well, bored of it.  And I have really been contemplating cutting it short again.  I usually have my hair short, so that's why I wanted to try it long.  And I always see people with long, gorgeous hair and I want it, but then I see people with short hair, and I want to chop mine.

So what should I do?

VS.

It's probably hard to tell on some of these, but you get the general idea.

Sam & Ashley's Day of Fun!

This is me and my friend Ashley.  You can see more of her here.
So one night we decided to just do a bunch of random things.

So we went to dinner.

We went to Pizzeria Seven Twelve which is pretty much amazing.  It was different then most pizza places because it uses very few ingredients but the flavor was so good!  Then we went to The Chocolate for a treat.  That place is pretty much heaven in your mouth.

Then we went to Trafalga and played arcade games.

And then we went to 7-11 and drove around talking forever.

I love doing random things.
