26 years

I decided to officially start my Project 365 on my birthday.  That way it will be exactly one year of my life.  Here are the first three days of being 26 . . .

Saturday

Saturday's are the days I work for all week long.  Don't get me wrong, I love my job and the week is great.  But you can't beat waking up without an alarm, being able stay in bed as long as you want, and taking naps during the day.  (Notice all of my pros for Saturday are about sleep? Hmmm.)  Today was a pretty good saturday.  I woke up on my own at 6:30 am, which wasn't the greatest but I fell back asleep and woke up around 9:30 which was fantastic.  I went to the temple, came home and read, took a nap, went to a pumpkin patch with my sisters, watched some Parks and Recreation, got some sweet new slippers, and ate some 5 guys.  All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good Saturday.

Starting Again

Awhile ago I participated in something called Project 365.  The object is to take a picture everyday to record your life.  I stopped doing this because life got busy with my internship and teaching and all that, but I realize how much I miss it.  So, I am starting again.  I'm hoping I can get back into the habit of annoyingly taking pictures of everything . . .

This is for you, Briar.

I haven't blogged in almost a year and my sister Briar, who is on a mission in the Philippines, keeps bugging me to blog.  So B, this is for you.

Today Tom and I went on a drive up the canyon.  We were a little late in the season driving up there so a lot of the leaves had already fallen up the tree.  My favorite season is fall and Utah is gorgeous this time of year!  I haven't taken my camera out in a looooong time.  I miss taking pictures.  I need to do it more often.

Since I Have Time . . .

One of the perks of being a teacher is I get breaks when they do.  I have so much free time, I don't know what to do with myself.  So far I have cleaned out my purse, color coded my earrings, cleaned my room, gone Christmas shopping, and watched movies.  I'm running out of things to do.

School has been going great.  My students have been awesome, and I'm always so amazed by what they can do.  For Christmas I had them write "If I Were Santa . . ." and I was busting up over some of the things they would write.

Another great perk of being a teacher is all the cute little gifts from my students.  Like this pencil jar.  Love it!

I hope you all have a great Christmas!

I Always Hated Thinking of a Title

Hello!

Remember me?  The person who used to write on this blog.

I started my first year of teaching so blogging went out the window.  But it's Thanksgiving break so I've spent the day reading, watching movies, eating, reading blogs, and napping.  It's been awesome!  I miss being lazy.  While I was reading blogs I got a little blogsick and wanted to post again.

Life has been great lately.  I've been working my dream job and I love it.  It's hard.  It's exhausting.  It never stops.  It makes me want to pull my hair out at times.  But at the end of the day it is the best, most rewarding thing I have ever done.

A few weeks ago I went back to the Spiral Jetty.  If you've read my blog for awhile you might remember I tried to go last year but it was covered with water.  Amberly and I tried again and we were able to see it this year and walk out on it.  I love little road trips to see cool things.

Ba ha ha ha!

So I know I suck terribly at posting but this should make up for it.

You're welcome.

J.T. and Megan

Last Saturday I had the chance to take engagements for this cute couple.  They are such a cute couple, and it was so easy taking pictures of them.

On an unrelated, but exciting note, I start teaching school on Tuesday! Gah!
