The Vow

Ok, peeps.  I want your thoughts and opinions on this movie.  I went to see "The Vow" Friday night, and I'm not sure if I liked it or not.  I had high expectations for this movie.  How could you not?  Seriously.  Channing Tatum.  Rachel McAdams.  Perfection in a movie.  Even the trailer made it look like it would be amazing.  A husband making his wife fall in love with him all over again with Taylor Swift playing in the background.  Does a romance movie get better than that?  I submit that it does not.

It had it's good parts and it's cute parts and it's sad parts.  I'm not going to say anything in case you haven't seen it, but if you have seen it, what did you think? Let me know!

  1. i LOVED it. and let me tell you why... i like you had high expectations and although they weren't met how i imagined them to be, they were met. i think we all wanted her to remember and fall back in love with him instantly. we wanted to see her remember how he remembers. but what we got was reality... i love that she never remembered, but that she fell in love with him again, for a second time. it's more real, and more believable, and proves that love does amazing things. i liked that he got mad at her, that she didn't do everything just because he said that's what she used to do. it made me feel like it was real life and not just a sappy love chick flick...although it did have those parts which i loved too. i liken it to 500 days of summer..at first it's odd cuz it's not the ending you necessarily want. but once you take it all in, it's actually really good. and that there is my novel of an opinion. i loved it :)

  4. i too have mixed feelings. honestly what a beautiful TRUE love story and who better to play the parts than channing and rachel. even tho i was stunned at the end when there was absolute no memory coming back (as i wished) they did capture the reality and beauty of the story. it's just too bad the producers put all the best parts, that movie watchers love, in the preview/trailer of the movie. my first thought was to not like the move. now i have let it settle and i like it more and more now. i want to see it again. and those are my thought. done.
