Twas the Night Before Christmas . . .

Christmas Eve was spent doing last minute shopping (lots of it) and spending time with my family.  Normally we have Sopa de Seca for Chirstmas Eve dinner, but Christmas Eve is also my mom's birthday so she decided she wasn't cooking and my Dad would be in charge of dinner.  He decided to make a meal that his Grandma had used to make, and it turned out pretty dang yummy.

We always get pajama's to wear that night, so we opened those up and opened our poppers (another thing we do every Christmas eve).  We draw names each year and we exchanged those gifts on Christmas Eve.  The little kids went to bed and the older people stayed up and watched movies.  Christmas Eve is my favorite part of Christmas.  There is the anticipation of what is going to happen the next day, and you can't help but feel 5 years old again.

  1. Awesome photos! I'm glad you had a great Christmas. And I know what you mean--I definitely felt like I was 5 years old again yesterday!

  2. Christmas Eve is my favorite part too. It seems like you guys have a lot of fun traditions. I think my family is going to need to adopt some of yours!
